Anton Osika

Founder & CEO of Lovable

The Swedish founder of Lovable — an AI tool that builds full apps from plain-English prompts — became one of Europe’s youngest self-made billionaires by betting that vibe coding is “the beginning of a new software economy.”

In his words

I think this is the beginning of a new software economy.

Biography

Anton Osika (born 1990) is a Swedish entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Lovable, an AI platform that turns natural-language descriptions into working web applications. Before Lovable he created GPT-Engineer, one of the earliest and most popular open-source experiments in getting a language model to write entire codebases.

The fastest-growing startup ever?

Launched publicly in late 2024, Lovable rode the “vibe coding” wave — the term popularized by Andrej Karpathy — to extraordinary numbers, with revenue reportedly doubling to around $200 million in a matter of months and Osika hailed as one of Europe’s youngest self-made billionaires. He casts the shift as structural rather than incremental: not just faster coding, but a new class of software builder.

His optimism centers on people, not just productivity. Osika argues that Lovable’s most devoted users are “super creative brains” — founders and idea-people who could never previously ship software and can now “just, like, throw them out” into the world. The bet is that lowering the barrier to building unlocks a far larger population of makers.
