Biography
Melania Trump (born 1970) is a Slovenian-American former model who became First Lady of the United States during Donald Trump’s two terms. In her second tenure she has made artificial intelligence an unlikely signature issue — both as an early adopter and as a policy champion.
The AI First Lady
In May 2025 she released the audiobook of her memoir, “Melania,” narrated entirely by an AI voice clone of herself built with ElevenLabs technology — the first commercial AI-narrated audiobook by a US First Lady. She promoted it on X with the line “let the future of publishing begin,” and in December 2025 expanded it to a Spanish-language edition, again voiced by her AI replica.
We must manage AI’s growth responsibly during this primitive stage with watchful guidance.
Her advocacy runs through education and child safety. In August 2025 she launched the nationwide Presidential AI Challenge for K-12 students and educators, and hosted a White House Task Force on AI Education, calling the challenge “the first step in preparing our next generation.” Through her Be Best initiative she also drove bipartisan support for the Take It Down Act — signed in May 2025 — which criminalizes AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery. Her stance pairs enthusiastic use with a call for “watchful guidance.”
