Kai Cenat
Twitch Streamer
Twitch’s most-subscribed streamer and founder of Streamer University, who rejects AI-made content in his creator school — denying applicants who submitted AI posters and vowing to teach students “how to not use AI.”
In his words
Skai Jackson, welcome to Streamer University. We will be teaching you how to not use AI.
Biography
Kai Cenat (born 2001 in New York City) is the most-subscribed streamer in Twitch history, a serial record-breaker whose marathon “Mafiathon” subathons and celebrity collaborations made him the defining live-streaming personality of the 2020s. In 2025 he launched Streamer University, a real-campus bootcamp where he and guest “professors” train the next generation of creators.
No AI at Streamer University
Streamer University became the stage for Cenat’s clearest anti-AI stand. During the June 2026 application wave he told viewers that applicants who submitted AI-generated posters could not attend — a flood of generic machine-made submissions that, in his telling, showed none of the personality the school exists to develop. Rapper Finesse2Tymes, caught in the ban, conceded on camera: “You win… That’s all I knew how to make, homie.”
You better not be using no AI. Okay? Man, look at this. Her banner? AI. Her “Starting Soon” is AI. Man, what the — God, you see. Imma have to re-evaluate her spot.
That July 2026 riff came as he welcomed Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson to the 2026 class — accepting her while roasting her AI-generated banner and promising the school would teach her to drop the tools. The stance has its ironies: Cenat happily streams with AI as content, most notoriously a January 2025 broadcast where he and fellow AMP members knocked around a $70,000 Unitree humanoid robot until it appeared to flee — a spectacle viewers called “disturbing” — and he has argued on stream with an AI clone of himself. For Cenat, AI is a prop to react to, not a way to make things.
