She passed the “baby bar” in 2021 on her fourth attempt and sat the full California bar in July 2025.

ChatGPT, the “frenemy”

In a November 2025 Vanity Fair lie-detector interview alongside her All’s Fair co-star Teyana Taylor, Kardashian revealed just how embedded ChatGPT is in her study routine: she photographs legal questions and feeds them to the bot for answers. She called the result a “toxic” friendship with a “frenemy” — the chatbot gets answers confidently wrong, then consoles her like a therapist, telling her the failure “is just teaching you to trust your own instincts.” Days after the interview aired, she announced she had not passed the July 2025 bar exam, vowing “no shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”

Her AI file cuts both ways. Fans accused a 2024 Skims ad of having AI-generated artifacts, and she has been a deepfake target since 2019, when an art-project video put fabricated words in her mouth — a preview of the impersonation wave that later hit Taylor Swift and Scarlett Johansson. But her own relationship with the technology is that of a heavy, if exasperated, everyday user: she keeps coming back to the bot she blames for her failures.
