It’s weird that we can all clearly see how AI is about to wipe out millions of jobs all at once, destroy every artistic field, make it impossible for us to discern reality from fiction, and destroy human civilization as we know it, and yet not one single thing is being done to stop it. We aren’t putting up any fight whatsoever.
This AI “singer” has 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. I hate this so much. I cannot describe how much I hate it. If I could commit a genocide against AI, I would. AI “art” is the death of the soul. Pure dystopian hell. Did I mention that I hate this?
The fundamental problem with AI content — and why I will never be interested in an AI movie, no matter how realistic it looks — is that I just have no interest in the stories that an algorithm tells.
Biography
Matt Walsh (born 1986) is a Daily Wire commentator, author, and host of The Matt Walsh Show, best known for the documentaries “What Is a Woman?” (2022) and “Am I Racist?” (2024). One of the most-followed voices on the American right — and not to be confused with the Veep actor of the same name — he has made opposition to AI a signature theme.
An “anti-AI Genghis Khan”
Walsh broke with free-market conservatives early. Reacting to an AI-powered Wendy’s drive-thru in May 2024, he tweeted: “Unpopular opinion (among conservatives anyway) but there probably needs to be laws against this. AI is going to wipe out 80 percent of the jobs on the planet if we don’t do something,” adding that “a world where AI does everything will be bleak beyond all imagining” — a stance the libertarian Foundation for Economic Education published a rebuttal against. His October 2025 warning that AI would “destroy human civilization as we know it” drew a reply from Elon Musk: “I’ve been warning the world for ages!”
It’s like the soundtrack of a network TV cop show that plays at 9:00 p.m. on a Tuesday on CBS. Like that kind of thing. Just totally devoid of any artistry or soul or meaning or human talent.
When Breaking Rust’s “Walk My Walk” became the first AI-generated song to top a Billboard chart in November 2025, Walsh played it on his show, called it “soul-sucking AI dystopian slop” — admitting the “scary part” was that “it sounds like a person” — and joked he would be “an anti-AI Genghis Khan, just killing entire country’s worth of these robots.” In December 2025 he shredded McDonald’s AI-made Christmas ad (“It sucks. It’s awful. There’s no artistry. No wit. No charm. No warmth. No humanity.”) and posted that “if you call AI generated slop ‘beautiful,’ I lose all respect for you as a human being.”
Walsh’s case is moral and aesthetic rather than technical: art is one soul speaking to another, and an algorithm has no soul and nothing to say, however photoreal its output. He has noted the odd politics of the position himself, tweeting in March 2026 that opposing AI is “pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite.”
