Bill Burr

Comedian

Blistering stand-up comedian who rails against AI as “ultimate slave labor” built by tech elites to wipe out human jobs — a populist, working-class attack on the industry.

In his words

These idiot nerds that are building these robots for these sociopaths — that’s gonna basically wipe all human beings out so they can have their ultimate slave labor.
Monday Morning Podcast, 2025

Biography

Bill Burr (born 1968) is one of the most successful stand-up comedians of his era, host of the long-running “Monday Morning Podcast,” creator of the animated series “F Is for Family,” and an actor in “The Mandalorian” and “King of Staten Island.” His comedy runs on blunt, contrarian anger at institutions and elites.

AI as a rich man’s machine

On his podcast in 2025, Burr turned that anger on AI and robotics, mocking the engineers building humanoid robots and the billionaires funding them. His objection is class-inflected: he casts AI not as a neutral tool but as a project by “sociopaths” to replace paid human workers with what he calls “ultimate slave labor,” and he ridicules claims that machines can feel genuine emotion.

Burr’s critique is less about copyright or likeness than about labor and power — who benefits when work is automated, and who loses. It fits a broader strain of his comedy that distrusts Silicon Valley’s promises.
