Biography
Kevin Hart (born 1979) is one of the highest-grossing stand-up comedians in the world and a prolific actor and producer who has built a sprawling media and business empire around the Hartbeat brand. Increasingly he speaks as an entrepreneur, and it is in that role that he has become an unabashed AI advocate.
AI training as a grant condition
Through the Coramino Fund, Hart’s grant initiative for underrepresented small businesses, recipients in 2025 received not just cash but required hands-on AI training. Hart framed the mandate as closing an “AI divide” that could leave marginalized entrepreneurs behind, and told Fortune the technology was a fast-moving train that business owners could not afford to miss.
Hart’s pitch is pragmatic rather than utopian: he treats AI fluency as a competitive necessity for the businesses he funds, positioning adoption as a matter of economic survival for the communities his philanthropy targets.
