Graham Stephan
Personal-Finance YouTuber
Graham Stephan is a real-estate-agent-turned-finance YouTuber with more than 4 million subscribers. He calls AI inevitable “leverage” for those who learn to use it, while warning investors that the market around it may be a bubble.
In his words
AI is only competition if you don’t know how to use it; otherwise, it is leverage.
AI is inevitable. Don’t resist it, use it instead.
Biography
Graham Stephan (born 1990) is an American YouTuber and former Los Angeles real-estate agent whose personal-finance and investing channel has grown past 4 million subscribers. He is known for a frugal, numbers-first persona and for translating market news into plain-English advice.
Bullish on the tool, wary of the trade
In a 2026 essay titled “AI: Existential Threat or Lifetime Opportunity?” Stephan laid out both the doomer and the optimist scenarios before landing on adaptation. He publishes ChatGPT-driven guides to money and investing, framing personal AI adoption as a competitive necessity rather than a novelty.
Personally, I think the direction of the doomers is probably right. But their timeline is probably wrong, and that makes a big difference.
His enthusiasm for AI as a personal tool sits alongside a trader’s caution about AI as an asset class: he has separately published warning signs that AI investments may be in a bubble. The result is a two-track stance — embrace the technology in your own work, but don’t confuse that with the market never correcting.
