ironmouse

VTuber & Twitch streamer

One of Twitch’s most-subscribed streamers, the independent VTuber ironmouse writes a no-generative-AI clause into her sponsorships — and publicly tore up a deal with a gacha game when she found AI art in it.

In her words

Whenever I get sent an offer of a sponsor or something, I always make sure to tell people, “Can you make sure, double, triple, quadruple check that this does not have AI in it. I will not accept it if it does.”

They told my sponsor people and said, “we do not have AI in anything, there’s no AI anywhere.”

Biography

ironmouse is a Puerto Rican VTuber and singer who became one of the most successful streamers on Twitch despite living with common variable immunodeficiency, a condition that keeps her largely housebound. A founding member of the agency VShojo, she set an all-time Twitch subscriber record during a 2024 subathon and has raised millions for the Immune Deficiency Foundation. In July 2025 she left VShojo — and the agency collapsed days later — after alleging it had failed to pass on roughly $500,000 in charity donations owed to that foundation; she has streamed independently since.

A no-AI clause, enforced in public

ironmouse’s opposition to generative AI is not rhetorical — it is contractual. In May 2026 she cancelled a paid sponsorship with the gacha game Neverness to Everness after fans surfaced apparently AI-generated art in it, including imagery echoing Makoto Shinkai films. On stream she said the developers had assured her team the game contained no AI, calling it the “fastest uninstall” of her life and demanding, “What do you think, that I don’t have eyes?!” She explained that she routinely requires sponsors to confirm, repeatedly, that no AI is involved before she will take a deal.

Her stand rippled outward: voice actors and other creators publicly distanced themselves from the same game in the following days, part of a broader creator backlash against undisclosed generative-AI assets in commercial work. For a streamer whose whole persona depends on hand-drawn character art and human artists, the position is of a piece with her brand — and unusually enforceable, because sponsors need her far more than she needs any single deal.
