Biography
Kurtis Conner is a Canadian stand-up comedian, podcaster, and YouTuber whose commentary channel has grown to several million subscribers. His format — dry, self-deprecating riffs on strange corners of the internet — has made him one of the more recognizable comedy voices of his generation on the platform, and a frequent chronicler of online absurdity.
A comedian on the AI beat
Conner has returned to generative AI repeatedly as both a punchline and a worry. As early as 2021 he devoted a video to “the frightening world of AI generated content,” and by 2024 he was making videos on pointless AI products and people forming relationships with AI chatbots — telling his followers plainly that the sheer spread of AI everywhere left him unsettled. His comedy leans on exposing how hollow, error-prone, or dystopian much of the output is when you actually look closely.
His critique is that of a working creator rather than a policy analyst: he is reacting to an internet increasingly clogged with synthetic, engagement-farmed content, and to companies bolting AI onto products that do not need it. The alarm is genuine even when the delivery is a joke.
