Charles “Charlie” White Jr. (born 1994), known online as penguinz0 and MoistCr1TiKaL, has run one of YouTube’s most-subscribed commentary channels since 2007, delivering monotone verdicts on games, internet drama, and platform decay to an audience of more than fifteen million. He also co-hosts The Official Podcast and co-owns Moist Esports.

The slop beat

White became one of YouTube’s loudest voices against AI-generated “slop.” In a January 2025 video on the wave of fake America’s Got Talent channels — AI children singing about dead parents, an AI Jesus getting the golden buzzer — he marveled that viewers “can’t tell blatantly AI” content from real footage anymore and warned it was engineered to farm engagement from credulous audiences. He has kept returning to the theme in videos like “This Is the Worst AI Slop of All Time” (2026), and reacted with alarm to AI clones of himself, including Chinese social-media reuploads that render him speaking fluent Mandarin in his own cadence.

His alarm long predates the slop era: after a fan channel generated a fake MoistCr1TiKaL video in 2022 with a cloned script and voice, White called it “so goddamn convincing” and walked through how deepfakes could fabricate political scandals, manufacture evidence, and replace actors. Notably, that same video ended with him professing enthusiasm for scientific innovation generally — his objection is to deception and dead-internet spam, not to technology as such.
