A lot of AI art coming out is literally better than most artists’ best work. If something does better by itself than an artist can do in their entire life, brother, I gotta be honest with you, I don’t give a sh*t.
I don’t consume the method, I consume the product. If this gives me a better product, I have to give credit where credit is due.
Biography
Félix Lengyel (b. 1995, Laval, Quebec) went from professional Overwatch — a stormy stint with the Dallas Fuel in the league’s inaugural season — to becoming the defining reaction streamer of his generation. He was Twitch’s most-watched creator for three straight years (2020–2022), logging over 174 million watch hours in 2020 alone, and in June 2023 signed a non-exclusive deal with Kick reportedly worth up to $100 million over two years.

In March 2025, during the viral Studio Ghibli trend that followed OpenAI’s image-generation update, xQc tested the tool on stream and pushed back hard when his chat dismissed the results as “AI slop.” His defense of AI art — like Asmongold’s the same week — sparked heated debate across Reddit and X, with critics arguing he missed the point of human art and supporters agreeing that output quality is what actually matters to audiences.
Why do you call everything “slop” these days? I gotta be honest with you, I feel like “slop” is becoming a buzzword to discredit anything.
Cloned without permission — and still laughing
Few people have been AI-cloned as often as xQc. In March 2023 a fan-built “AI xQc” bot fielded viewer questions live on his own stream — and left the real one speechless when it called Ludwig “the most braindead streamer.” That July an unauthorized AI xQc channel appeared in Twitch’s “Probably Artificial, Hopefully Intelligent” collection, drawing thousands of followers; its creator was a fan with no affiliation, and xQc never endorsed it (Kotaku’s request for comment went unanswered). When OpenAI’s Sora 2 unleashed a wave of uncanny video edits of him in late 2025, he reacted with laughter rather than takedowns, and in February 2026 he joked that he is the one streamer AI can never replace — because AI has no idea what he is saying.
