Chloe Rose
Art YouTuber
British art YouTuber (nearly a million subscribers) whose supply-testing channel turned consumer watchdog: her videos exposing AI-generated coloring books and AI-promoted craft kits argue the slop wave is defrauding buyers and pushing real artists out.

How the formula works →- +3.3antiCampaigns against AI
- +1.8antiBoycotts AI-made products

- ±0nuancedHolds a documented two-sided view
Weights, statement counts, the ×1.25 multiplier for having a stake in an AI-impacted field, and the formula’s smoothing are already baked in — the points add up to the score, with evidence on the other side subtracting (direction-free evidence pulls toward the middle instead): Firmly Anti-AI · 6.1/10
In her words
I will never understand people that say that AI artists are artists, or they’re the same as artists who actually make their artwork. I’m going to offend a lot of people by saying this, but AI is what has destroyed Etsy.
Real artists are getting pushed out. And the worst part of it all is these AI-generated coloring books are selling for the same price as hand-drawn ones. This is so messed up.
Biography
Chloe Rose is a self-taught British artist and YouTuber, based in the United States, whose channel Chloe Rose Art has grown to roughly 944,000 subscribers on unboxings, art-supply testing, and painting videos. She runs her own brush and supply brand, and is the author-illustrator of the hand-drawn activity book “Draw Your Own Adventure” (Page Street Publishing) — experience she cites when explaining how long honest craft actually takes.
The AI slop beat
From 2025 her product-testing format acquired a watchdog edge. “The Downfall Of Etsy.. I’m Disgusted.” (March 2025) traced how AI-generated print-on-demand patterns and automated storefronts had flooded a marketplace that was “supposed to be handmade.” “These FAKE AI Coloring Books Need To Stop.” (July 2025) documented AI coloring books on Amazon masquerading as hand-drawn — some even advertising “beautifully hand-drawn illustrations by our talented in-house artists” — noting that artists spend months or years on books now buried by five-second generations sold at the same price. In 2026 she began buying the AI-promoted craft kits clogging her feeds to show viewers what actually ships.
I hate when brands use AI to promote. I hate it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an AI hater. I think AI does definitely have a place in the world as long as we can make it more eco-friendly and it doesn’t keep taking away people’s jobs.
Her objection is grounded in provenance as much as commerce: AI “literally takes and uses images it finds online” from working artists, she told viewers — “taking art that it finds online from actual artists and smashing it together.” She refuses to buy AI-made goods even as video props, preferring to spend the money on “real artists,” and encourages her audience to research sellers and champion verifiably handmade work.
